Erciyas Çelik Boru Sanayi A.Ş. was founded in 1990 in Izmit to produce spiral-welded (SAW) steel pipes. Because of the requirements that emerged during development, it later moved to the factory in Düzce which, was built on an area of 110.000 sq mtr (27 acres) with an enclosed area of 30,000 m² (323.000 sq ft) outfitted with the latest technology.

At the beginning of 1999, by obtaining API 5L and ISO 9001 certificates Erciyas, added oil and gas pipes to its range of products and improved its quality system. After a short period of time Erciyas become one of the leading manufacturers of spiral-welded steel pipes in Turkey; and today Erciyas is standing among the top manufacturers of the world.
